The early failure caused by insufficient aggregate structure, insufficient binder strength or water damage can be determined by measuring the rutting depth of the asphalt mixture and the number of loading times at the time of failure. The immersion test method can also be chosen to assess the impact of water damage on asphalt mixtures.
